Dorothy Kim Vella

Dorothy started her career with PwC Malta managing a team of systems, process and controls specialists servicing a portfolio of local and international clients operating across various business sectors both as an information systems auditor and performance improvement adviser. Dorothy later specialised in banking assuming the position of Risk Manager at the local subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG where she was responsible for setting up and developing the risk function of the bank. At KPMG Malta, she formed part of the risk consulting advisory team providing regulated entities with on-going and ad-hoc advice on regulatory and compliance matters. Dorothy currently heads the risk, internal control and compliance function of RCI Life Limited and RCI Insurance Limited, the insurance arm of RCI Banque SA (owned by Renault SA), where she assumes the role of Compliance Officer and Risk Officer of the insurance companies and Solvency II project lead. Dorothy is a certified public accountant and auditor, holds an honours degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta and is a member of the council of the Malta Association of Risk Management.
