James Crask

James leads the Enterprise Resilience service for PwC UK. His work involves advising clients on approaches to enhance their resilience and coaching senior business leaders on what resilience means in the context of their business and how to measure and enhance it. In addition James regularly speaks on the subject of resilience at conferences and in the media. He is also chair of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) working group responsible for Business Continuity and Organizational Resilience international standards.

Prior to PwC, James worked for the UK Cabinet Office Civil Contingencies Secretariat. This experience has given him a unique insight into the mechanics of the UK’s civil emergency structure, gained through his experience of responding to national crises within the Cabinet Office Briefing Room (COBR) framework. After leading the development of the Government’s corporate resilience policy, James helped deliver the London Olympic Resilience Project, building capabilities within the emergency services to mitigate risks associated with hosting the Olympic Games.
